Ooof. Just came off zoom call; someone from #Manchester City Council was talking utter nonsense abt #climate action. Nobody dared say emperor was naked (polite, fear of loss of funding etc).

I provided context, was told in private message from host that this was not welcome...

The Council declare a climate emergency but the evidence suggests it's just rhetoric (see @ClimateEmergMcr)

E.g. the continued infatuation w/ skyscrapers is such an outdated way of thinking about what makes a 'successful city' + v. unsustainable
