Professor Kevin Anderson – Next Wednesday (10th January) at Manchester Central Library

Professor Kevin Anderson, perhaps the most outspoken UK climate scientist, kicks off 2024 with a bang, exploding the myth of net-zero. In a talk to be held in the Manchester Central Library Performance Space between 17:30 and 19:00 on Wednesday 10 January, this is part of the Concerning Climate Change series developed with Manchester Museum.

Kevin’s talk will not only expose the myth of net-zero as we continue to add more to the cumulative total of carbon emissions rather than rapidly reducing them, but it will also cover what can be done to revive UK commitments to meet temperature and equity targets set in the Paris agreement in 2015, and what if anything coming from the recent COP28 will assist us in reaching the goal of averting climate breakdown.
This event is important for anyone interested in issues relating to climate change. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion. Free tickets can be reserved on this Eventbrite page .
