On Monday 12th July CEM will launch a directory of campaigning groups and resources. It will have info about mostly environmental and social justice, but if you think you belong in there, get in touch, via firstname.lastname@example.org
It will also have some wordy philosophical
rants essays about networks, movements, the differences between them and what it actually means to do “movement-building.” Bet. You. Can’t. Wait.
Over the coming weeks we will be featuring groups who have already given their answers. Here’s the answers we got from the very cool folks at Carbon Coop.

|Purpose of group (two paragraphs maximum)
|Carbon Co-op is an energy services and advocacy co-operative that helps people and communities to make the radical reductions in home carbon emissions necessary to avoid runaway climate change. Our overarching goal is that the domestic carbon emissions of Carbon Co-op members and the wider public in Greater Manchester and beyond, are radically reduced to an extent sufficient to avoid runaway climate change. Our further organisational ‘Ends’ provide insight into how we aim to achieve this.
|Skills/knowledge/resources your group has that it is willing to share with others
|Supporting groups with advice on community energy projects, contributing to funding bids.
We also have a community forum for members which serves as a peer-to-peer knowledge base.
Recordings of our 2020/21 webinar programme covering topics such as domestic retrofit to home energy systems can be accessed on our website and YouTube channel.
|Skills/knowledge/resources your group would like to acquire in the coming months
|Advice, support and resources on making our organisation and the climate movement in general more diverse and representative.
